GRAU DATA presents Blocky for Veeam® ransomware protection for backups at it-sa
Schwäbisch-Gmünd, September 3, 2025 – GRAU DATA is exhibiting its Blocky for Veeam® backup ransomware protection at it-sa 2025. At the trade fair, GRAU DATA experts will be available at the Cristie Partners partner booth in Hall 9, Booth 9-120, for discussions, product demonstrations, and individual questions.
The latest version, Blocky for Veeam® 3.5, was released in the second quarter of this year. The software is currently the only ransomware protection for backups that runs directly on the Veeam Windows Server and uses proven GRAU DATA WORM (Write Once, Read Many) technology to create an immutable shield for Veeam backups. By using WORM technology, Blocky for Veeam® consistently prevents any data manipulation by ransomware. A unique and secure fingerprint authentication process protects access to backup data and backup processes. It only allows the Veeam backup software to access the data. All other attempts to delete or write to the data, especially by malware, are strictly prevented.
The latest version of Blocky for Veeam® 3.5 offers two new features that further enhance the security of protected customer systems. Disk protection in Blocky for Veeam® strengthens resilience against ransomware attacks. In addition to the existing security of backup data at the file system level, this new feature now also actively protects physical disks against manipulation. Furthermore, in addition to password protection, administrators can enable optional multi-factor authentication to significantly strengthen the level of protection at the system level.
